We specialise in providing support during one of life’s most challenging transitions. Whether it’s clearing a deceased estate or preparing a loved one’s home for care placement, we are here to offer a service rooted in empathy, professionalism, and respect.
Why we started
Our Personal Story - Mum and Dad's House
When your loved one passes away or needs to transition into care suddenly, the thought of clearing their home can feel like an impossible task. I know that feeling all too well—it’s exactly what my brother and I faced when we lost our parents.
Mum and Dad had called their house home for 51 years, filling it with memories and possessions collected over a lifetime. Standing in the middle of it all, we didn’t know where to begin. Both of us had full-time jobs, and while we tried to tackle the clearing on weekends, it quickly became clear we didn’t have the time, energy, or emotional capacity to get through it. Each visit left us feeling drained and defeated, and the weeks ahead felt heavier as a result.
After months of struggling, I made the difficult decision to leave my job and take on clearing Mum and Dad’s home as my full-time responsibility.
It was a turning point. Dedicating myself to this allowed us to meet the deadline, but more importantly, it gave us the time to handle their belongings with the respect they deserved. Every item told a story, and it was important to us to sort through everything carefully, donating or rehoming wherever possible to avoid unnecessary landfill.
Through Compassionate Home Clearing, my mission is to bring that same care, respect, and understanding to your loved one’s possessions. I know from personal experience how deeply emotional even the smallest tasks can be—like stripping the sheets from my parents’ bed, knowing it was where Dad last slept. It’s moments like those that stay with you.
If I can ease some of the pain and weight of this process for others, I feel I’m continuing to honour my parents’ legacy in a meaningful way.

Our Team
Karina
“Grief is the price we pay for love”
After losing my parents, I faced the overwhelming task of clearing out my childhood home. It wasn’t just about sorting through belongings—it was an emotional journey filled with difficult decisions and unexpected challenges.
Drawing from my 25-year career in corporate tech and project management, I realised how valuable structure and support can be during such a difficult time. I also came to understand that no one is ever truly prepared for the emotional and logistical weight of packing up a loved one’s life.
This experience inspired me to create Compassionate Home Clearing—a service designed to provide practical assistance with care and understanding. While this journey is just beginning, my aim is to offer guidance and support to those navigating the same path, ensuring they have the space to grieve while making steady progress on what needs to be done.

“Bringing order and efficiency to every space I touch”
With an undergraduate degree in Psychological Science I have a deeper understanding of mental health complexities and emotional responses in the body during stressful and challenging times.
Helping people accomplish what needs to be done, in their toughest moments, is the fuel that drives my passion.
I use my psychological background to help you on the bad days. I strive to make it easier for you to grieve, whilst accomplishing the ‘admin’ required when someone you love passes on.
My natural organisational skills ensure that every item is carefully allocated to where it needs to be – with love and respect.
Charles
“Self Appointed CEO”
Charles is the four-legged legend of the team, with 13 years of experience under his collar, he has an uncanny ability to sniff out snacks and lift team spirits.
Charles specialises in long, leisurely walks between tasks (and occasionally during them), extended lunch breaks, and performing adorable tricks—especially when treats are on offer. While he may not be the most hands-on team member, his contribution to morale is unmatched.
Thanks to a little family connection (his mum just happens to be the business founder), Charles secured his role through classic canine nepotism—but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
When he’s not snoozing in sunbeams or supervising from the shade, you’ll find him politely ignoring his workload and expertly dodging anything that resembles actual labour.
